Michael is a highly experienced Chartered Surveyor having garnered 30+ years’ experience in many fields tunnelling, highways utilities, mechanical & electrical, rail signalling, civil construction, telecoms, retail maintenance. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“MRICS”); Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (“MCIOB”) with a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from University of Greenwich, UK. He also attended Eltham Green School.

His professional footprint include Change Team Lead for Transport for London & Road User Charging; Senior Quantity Surveyor at CRSA/Balfour Beatty Rail/Rhomberg Sersa Kings Cross Remodelling Gas Works Tunnel; Senior Quantity Surveyor at L B Foster Crossrail Whitechapel Station Information and Surveillance System among several other assignments.

Michael’s core expertise include Contract formation using standard and writing bespoke contract forms; Leading and managing procurement strategies in accordance with best practice and complying, with OJEU requirements in publicly funded projects; Leading and submitting winning major bids; Developing commercial systems and procedures and guiding finance, payroll, and procurement departments into new areas of regulation and contract obligations; Business coaching; Project management; Commercial manager providing cost control and administration. He has been able to turn around projects that have run into difficulty both in terms of delay, quality, and cost. He also has experience in preparing, delivering, and defending contract and civil law claims.
