Gideon is an American of Ghanaian descent with over 2 decades of impactful Management Consulting, Cybersecurity and Investment Banking experience across continents.
He is the Founder and Chairman of Gideon Goldmann, LLC, a Wall Street Advisory and Emerging Market/sub-Saharan Africa-focused Investment Bank through which he successfully led the financing of several projects and trade-finance deals across sub-Saharan Africa. He was a consultant on various power projects such as the Mass Power project for MTI Plc, CFO of a number of companies such as DICS, Qube, WACSSIL etc., and was Senior Partner, Global Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) and later Advisor Emeritus at Hylman in Paris, France.
Aside from finance, Gideon also plays key roles in the tech space. He was CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Simply Pay (a FinTech), was an MBO Partners’ ITGC SOX Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (Chicago Illinois), MBO Partners’ IA Cyber Consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (Orlando, Florida) and, MBO Partners’ Risk Acceptance Controls Analyst also at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (New York, NY) under the MBO Partners contracts. He was also IA Cyber Risk Senior Associate III at Grant Thornton LLP (New York City, NY), an Artech LLC IA & IT Auditor at Deloitte LLP, a Technology Risk Auditor at EY (Ernst & Young LLP (New York City under the Software Specialists (SSi) contract, and was a ClearPath Contractor and Lead Financial Technology Risk Auditor at EY (Ernst & Young LLP (New York City).
He was also a Senior Internal Auditor at NYRA (New York Racing Association), a Stealth ISS Group Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Atos SE (Arlington Virginia), an IT Internal Auditor at Munich Reinsurance Americas, and a Cybersecurity Consultant at Prudential Financial for Infinetix. He was Sr. Manager ITGC at Green IT Energy Applications and transitioned to Sr. Manager GRC at Radian Generation when Green IT was acquired by Radian Generation Inc. (Charlotte, North Carolina) and Internal Auditor at Munich Re (Munich Reinsurance Americas) for Robert Half.
Prior to his sojourn in North America, he was a Principal Consultant III at NEXTZON (the firm that regionalized several Nigerian Banks across 14 other sub-Saharan African countries) and was Head of Central Banking at the Central Bank of Nigeria on the FSS Vision 2020 Project in 2007 among others. Gideon was a Senior Consultant at A-BAS Consultants and Chartered Accountants in Ghana and a Partner at Jim Okhai Chartered Accountants. He also worked as a Marketing Executive at the start of his career at Multimedia Broadcasting Limited in Ghana.
Gideon has a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Business and Management from the University of Derby (UK), an MBA from Cornell University’s Cornell SC Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master of Professional Studies from Cornell University’s Cornell ILR School. Gideon also has a Master of Science in Technology Leadership from Brown University, jointly offered by the Brown University School of Professional Studies and the Brown University School of Engineering.
